Daytona Day 1

We left EARLY (3:45 a.m.) this morning and headed out on our journey. Our first stop is Daytona Beach, Florida. We will be here until Sunday. Some friends of ours are coming in tonight. We got here around lunch time. Our hotel is great. We have an AMAZING view. We were also delightfully surprised to find out that our room has a kitchen complete with full-size fridge, sink, stove top, and dishes. We decided rather than finding something to eat we would just eat some of the stuff that we had brought with us. After lunch there was quite the rain storm. After it passed we put the girls in their bathing suits and headed to the beach. They had so much fun. After the beach Daniel and I got changed into our suits and the four of us enjoyed the pool for a while. We decided to venture out for dinner and see what we could see. We spotted some cool putt-putt courses so I am sure we will end up there one day this week. We ate dinner at a place called The Charlie Horse. The girls both ate well. We followed dinner up with some ice cream at a place called Cow Lick. I would say we had an awesome first day. Enjoy the pictures. Packed and ready to go! We've been busy

We have been busy around here. I have finished my first semester of school. By the skin of my teeth I came out with two A's. Molly has finished up her first year of pre-k, we are off on vacation as of EARLY Thursday morning and let's see...OH YES...ABBEY IS POTTY TRAINED!!!! Last week she decided that let the light bulb come on. She is going pee pee and poo poo in the big potty and hasn't had but maybe one accident in her pull-up. Early in the month we attended the wedding of Daniel's cousin. Molly was flower girl. I hope you enjoy the pictures from what we have been doing the last month.

The end of her first school year

This year has really flown by fast. I can't believe that Molly is already done with pre-k. It seems like just yesterday we were getting her supplies ready to go. A school year later and she is reading on a first grade level, knows up to third grade sight words, and is an all around smart kid! I couldn't be prouder.

Her last day of school

Her first day of school

Can you tell a difference?

Molly was a flower girl

Isn't she pretty. Mom did a great job on the dress. Several people wanted to know where it came from and then wanted to know if mom would make them one. I told them no of course. They also asked if we rented Molly out for flower girl duties.

My new program

I have been really feeling the frustration with my weight lately. A friend of mine introduced me to this video. Jillian is one of the trainers from the Biggest Loser. The video has three level of workouts and each lasts 20 or so minutes. I started Monday night and have done it every night so far this week. It definatly kicks my butt on level 1 and stupid me decided I wanted a change of scenery and went to level 2 tonight (I will be back on level 1 tomorrow). My goal is to eventually loose about 70 pounds or so. I think that this is something that I am going to be able to stick with. I hope I start seeing results soon!

Why does the Easter Bunny not stop at our house??

I think the picture explains its self. This is why there is no Easter Bunny that stops by our house. He comes and sees them everywhere else! Molly and Abbey kept getting asked at church what the Easter Bunny brought to their house and people were shocked when they said "nothing." I think it is safe to say that no one should feel sorry for them!

Church on Easter Sunday

This morning at church we had a wonderful breakfast and then the kids had ANOTHER egg hunt. Abbey stuck to the little egg hunting area while Molly decided she would hunt with the big kids (a.k.a why I don't have pictures of her). Molly actually beat out the others to find the "treasure" egg. The eggs kept them entertained through church and then we had a nice afternoon out in C.S. with Mom and Dad.

Egg Hunt Number 1

For the past couple of years some good friends of ours have invited us to an Easter Egg Hunt at their parent's house. The girls always have a great time, as do we. This year there were lots of kids there which made it even more fun.

Happy Easter

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend. Today we are going to a friend's house and having an egg hunt. Tomorrow will begin with Easter Service, another egg hunt, Easter breakfast at church and then an afternoon spent with Nana and PawPaw. Last night (during the HORRIBLE weather) Daniel helped out with a children's outreach activity that we did at church. Even with the bad weather we had over 70 kids from the community come and participate. That is amazing for our small church. Another church member who was there sent me a picture of Daniel. Yes, that really is him! Hopefully I will get some other great pictures this weekend.

New vaccumn

I think the picture explains in a nut shell why I love my new vaccumn. It is cordless, light, made for hardwoods...and most of all....CAN BE RUN BY A FOUR YEAR OLD!!! Molly had a blast walking around the house vaccuming. Needless to say I didn't mind.

The Beach

For spring break we went with a couple of our friends to Edisto Beach. It is about 30 minutes from Charleston. We spent one full day in Charleston (sorry no pictures..I forgot the camera), a day in Savannah, a couple of days playing on the beach, and even managed to get a few days of nothingness. The girls had a blast. This was Dabba Do's first time to the beach where she could really play. The last time she went to the beach she was only 7 months old. We went to Edisto last summer but didn't take the girls. We really enjoyed having this with us. Enjoy the picture slideshow below. There are pics of the beach, Savannah, Tybee (another side trip), and pictures from the Crab Shack where we fed ALLIGATORS!! So much fun. We are truly blessed and treasure each of these memories with our baby girls. I don't appear in any pictures but I promise I was there!

Lots has happened today

It was a busy afternoon. Make sure you scroll all the way down. I added several posts. Enjoy!

Becoming a big girl

It is with a heavy heart I write this post. My baby girl is officially becoming a big girl. We have been talking to her a lot about what it means to be a big girl trying to get her to use the potty. She finally decided that she was ready for her crib to become a big girl bed a couple of days ago. Up until that point she had always said no, that she wanted to keep her crib. We converted it tonight. I must say it was SOOOO much easier to do then Mo's bed. As you can tell she was pretty excited about it. She had to test it out by taking a few jumps. In the last picture she is "sleeping."

Playing the the leaves

This afternoon Daniel was raking leaves in the front yard. This was the first time the yard had been raked this season so there were plenty of leaves to play in. Needless to say a bath was in order after dinner.

Valentines

Both girls have gotten several cards in the mail this week. Aunt Pat and Uncle Skip sent some earlier in the week with a box of hair bows and a book. Today they got cards from all sets of grandparents. Thanks to everyone. I got a couple of pictures of them opening their cards today. They loved them.
