Gymnastics
Number 1 started gymnastics on Tuesday night. To say she was excited is an understatement. It was fun watching her interact with the other kids. She did pretty well with minding and waiting her turn. There are about 7 other little girls in her group. Her favorite part was jumping down the extra long trampoline. I didn't buy her a leotard to start with because I figured, hey she's four, surely all the other kids will be in shorts and t-shirts. Yeah, that would be a big no. She definitely noticed that she didn't have one. Needless to say I was on Target the next day ordering leotards. Number 2 sat with us and watched. She wanted to be on the floor with her sister. Look for more pictures to come.
Dressed and ready to go. Little Sis was excited too.
Leotard update: Yeah Target let me down. The leotards were not going to be here before the end of October/first of November. We cancelled that order. Ebay however was a wonderful place to find leotards. They were slighly used but hey, who cares they were a FRACTION of the price. Hopefully we will be set to go by week 3.

A nice, peaceful, relaxing weekend (well sort of)
The large white rapid in the center of the river is where we got stuck and flipped out.
Another view of the large rapid where we got flipped out. The people at the rafting center told us to stay to the left of the rapid and to stay out of the center no matter what. Natalie and I evidently wanted a challenge and decided to float down without the raft down the center of the rapids.
Do you see the two large boulders? I went down the center of them and finally got pulled out where you see the large mound of rocks pilled up.
Another shot of the rapids I went down...without a boat.
The outdoor center has a photographer who sits at about the group of rocks where I finally got out of the water. He caputred some "great" shots. The first two are actually really good ones of Hubby as he went down the rapid. The next two show me and Nat as we were tossed. You can barely see me because I am coming out from under the boat and my hair is being pushed into my face. The next picture is not a great one of me but shows the shear terror on my face as I charged down the river.
This adventure was a great reminder of the powerfullness of mother nature. Now, if only my body didn't hurt all over today. I managed to bang up both of my knees pretty good. One hurts a little more than the other. My chest is also pretty sore. I'm not sure if that is from tumbling over rocks or from paddling a river for a couple of hours. Of course, it could be a little of both.

Labor Day at the lake
The girls and I got to spend the weekend with part of Hubby's family at the lake house this Labor Day weekend. We were short of men but had plenty of girls to make up for it. Poor Papa, he was the only man with 11 females for most of the weekend. I'm pretty sure he survived. The weekend was full of fun and a few hours of sleep. Number 1 tried to give me a heart attack but having an asthma flare up at 11 at night Sunday evening. It has been almost three years since she has had any trouble. Luckily there is a 24 hour Walgreens not to far away and we were able to get an albuterol inhaler filled and it took care of the problem. By far the favorite activities of the weekend were playing with the water hose (spraying Granny T was a highlight) and driving the boat with Papa. I even got into the action and drove the boat for the first time. I managed to dock the boat decently well for my first time and didn't ram the dock. I consider that a success. The girls and I were definatly excited to see Hubby this afternoon. We stopped in C.S. and enjoyed a nice dinner at Mom and Dad's before coming home. I plan to hit the pillow early tonight to try and make up for some lost hours.

A momentary peace treaty :) Just Kidding.

Running around being silly
Attacking Granny T with the water hose. Notice the quite way that Number 1 goes in for the attack. She tries to make it look innocent doesn't she?
