Fishing rodeo

Hubby getting into the action

Today was the kick off of this year's Sunday School program. Each year we have a fishing rodeo at one of our member's houses. They live in a BEAUTIFUL very large home not to far from us. The girls enjoyed playing. Number 1 actually caught a fish. Number 1 also took off on the "Gator" 4-wheeler with some of the bigger kids. I sat back and wondered when she became one of them. Number 2 chilled out and hung around. We had a hot dog dinner and then enjoyed some prizes. After dinner we were one of the few families left and we were treated to a tour of the families home. AMAZING does not begin to describe it. What is weird is that when I was a little some close friends of ours lived in the house that was once on the same spot. It was a small brick ranch house. The house that now stands there can definatly not be described as small. It was neat to kind of return to my "roots." I have many fond memories of that plot of land. Today I got to make some more. We have a really wonderful church family and we always have a great time when we get to spend time with them.

Picking out just the right bait...

And it worked!! Number 1 caught a fish..."Now what do I do with it Dad?"

Number 2 had her fishing pole and was very intent on catching a fish...maybe we should have given her some bait and a hook...

A look at a few of the other fisherman
